The celebrations on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the capital of Pridnestrovie moved to the Catherine Park in the afternoon. An art exhibition began on the pier near the diocesan lake. The capital's craftsmen and creative clubs presented their works: wood products, crystal and imitation pearl jewelry, soft knitted toys, wicker beads, clay figurines. The ceremony was held on the stage of the park to honor the residents of Tiraspol, who with their work help Tiraspol develop and become more beautiful and modern in all sectors.

“Look how many children, look how many people take to the streets. The city was quite empty and it was very sad just 10 years ago. What do the city of Tiraspol used to be associated with? With war, a monument to Suvorov and a fragment of the Soviet Union. We must develop in the 21st century. The city began to develop thanks to the joint efforts of the people of our city, with the support of the state and the municipality,” said the Head of the state administration of the city of Tiraspol Oleg Dovgopol, congratulating the residents of Tiraspol.

The solemn event was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov and Head of Government Alexander Rosenberg. The* heads of the highest authorities presented state awards to the most deserving residents of Tiraspol – medals, orders and honorary titles.
