State support for the youth

The World Youth Day has been celebrated for 75 years. The holiday appeared after the end of World War II. The date of celebration - November 10 - is timed to coincide with the founding of the World Federation of Democratic Youth. Its goal was to unite various youth organizations.

Youth is the future of the republic, they say in the Supreme Council. Today, with the joint efforts of state authorities, various programs are being developed and adopted to support young people.

In the cities of the republic, the construction of long-term construction is being completed thanks to the action of the presidential program "Affordable Housing". All engineering networks are carried out at these facilities. Some of these works are carried out within the framework of investment programs at the expense of the organizations themselves, the second - from the state budget at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund.

This year the Supreme Council adopted the law "On state support of young families for the purchase of housing". The essence of the program is the provision of subsidies by the state for the purchase of housing to families where there are state employees - specialists in professions in demand in the republic today: doctors, teachers, district militia inspectors, officers of the Armed Forces, certified employees of the penal system. The age of such young specialists should not exceed 35 years. It is up to this age, according to the current law, that a person is considered young. The parliament supported changes in legislation a year ago. Accordingly, more young people will be able to participate in the state program of affordable housing.

Funds are also provided for the purchase of housing or renovation under the loan program for young families. This project is being implemented by the state administrations of cities and regions of the republic. The state can provide young families with up to 100 thousand rubles for 5 years at 1%.

Today there is a project on practice-oriented education, when a student receives 70% of knowledge in practice, in the workplace. Today this project is working on the basis of the law "On dual education", which was adopted by the Supreme Council.

This year, the Parliament supported a number of laws that help preserve the health of the young generation of the republic. Regulations have been adopted that protect children and adolescents from products containing tobacco and nicotine. The Supreme Council equated hookahs and snus with cigarettes. Since September 1, their sale to minors is prohibited. Teenagers are not legally allowed to use devices that simulate tobacco smoking. The distribution of nicotine-containing mixtures is prohibited. The Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie was also in favor of correcting the legislation in this direction. This is an advisory and consultative body, created under the Supreme Council in 2016, thanks to which the youth interacts with the state authorities of the republic.

Today, the amendments to the law "On state youth policy" initiated by the Supreme Council of the VI convocation are in effect. Youth election commissions have been established at the CEC and territorial election commissions. The improvement of the law was aimed at increasing the legal culture and electoral activity of young citizens, as well as to strengthen the confidence of young people in the authorities.

The Supreme Council considers that the state should take into account the interests of young people as much as possible so that the new generation of Pridnestrovians could declare everything that worries him, the parliament proposed to declare 2021 the Year of Youth.
