State subsidies for tourism development

The directions in which the state subsidizes part of the interest rate are proposed to be expanded. We are talking about the tourism industry. The state over the past years has been working to increase the tourist attractiveness of Pridnestrovie. In 2017, the Concept for the Development of Tourism was adopted for three years. Since 2019, we have been implementing the state target program "Support and development of tourism in the PMR for 2019-2026". The main task is the development and improvement of the tourist infrastructure.

The law-in-draft proposes to provide organizations operating in the field of tourism with the right to receive loans on preferential terms for the purchase of camping equipment and other fixed assets to popularize tourism for local inhabitants and foreigners. This will improve the quality of the provided tourist services, expand their range and attract more tourists.

Today the state subsidizes 6% of the loan. Based on the experience that exists under various subsidy programs, the economic agent pays 3-4% per annum. This is comparable to European lending rates.

The state subsidizing a part of interest rates on loans will be carried out within the limits of financing approved by the law on the republican budget for the corresponding financial year within the framework of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
