The Supreme Council adopted a new version of the “Development and support of entrepreneurship in the PMR” state target program in 2023, which operate until 2027. A report on how the state program worked last year was presented to the deputies by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Natalya Sitkina.
8 exhibition fairs, 2 festivals (“I am an entrepreneur” in Catherine Park and the Wine and Grape Festival in the Bendery Fortress), as well as tastings and presentations of Pridnestrovian products were held in all cities and regions of the republic as part of the project “Buy Pridnestrovian!” last year. Advertising videos about the “Buy Pridnestrovian!” project were created, and an advertising campaign was carried out on social networks. 913 thousand rubles in total were allocated from the republican budget for activities within the framework of this project.
Another direction of the “Functioning of a Business School” state program, which is aimed at training aspiring entrepreneurs in the basics of doing business and improving the skills of managers of business structures. 522 thousand rubles were allocated for this project in 2023 and 394 people attended seminars and trainings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
11th grade schoolchildren are also taught the basics of creating their own business as part of this project. 30 schoolchildren completed the training last year. Deputies noted that the numbers are low.
It was planned when the state program was approved to implement another project – “My Business”, aimed at state support for aspiring Pridnestrovian entrepreneurs. It was supposed to provide them with grants and soft loans to start and develop their own businesses. However, this direction remained unclaimed last year.
The Chairman of the relevant parliamentary Committee noted that earlier, when considering the report at the Committee meeting, proposals were made to make adjustments to the regulatory procedures.
Approximately 2.6 million rubles were supposed to be allocated from the republican budget for the development and support of entrepreneurship in 2023 according to the program passport. 1.4 million were spent actually. The program is 54% completed. Deputies approved last year the report on the implementation of the “Support and development of entrepreneurship in the PMR for 2023-2027” state program, unanimously supporting the corresponding resolution.
