The Supreme Council deputies listened to the reports for the past year, prepared by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. They affect the implementation of state programs in the healthcare sector.
It has been possible over the past two years to reduce the incidence of tuberculosis, including mortality in Pridnestrovie. A lot of work was done to prevent tuberculosis in 2021, more citizens underwent fluorography. TB doctors of the Republican Tuberculosis Hospital held round tables and lectures for schoolchildren, students and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This was reported at the plenary session of the Supreme Council by the Head of the Ministry of Health Kristina Albul.
The deputies had questions during the discussion of the report on the implementation of the state program for the prevention of tuberculosis. Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov asked why less budgetary funds were spent than planned as a result.
Within the framework of the "Oncology: Improving Cancer Care for the Population of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" state program, physicians carried out activities for the prevention and early diagnosis of malignant tumors. More than 75,000 Pridnestrovians underwent a cytological examination, which makes it possible to detect a malignant tumor at an early stage. 1523 cases of malignant neoplasms were detected last year in total, which is 4% less than in 2020. This information is reflected in the report for 2021 of the Ministry of Health of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health Sergei Cheban drew attention to the fact that the state program was implemented by 90%. Kristina Albul explained that a large amount of money was allocated for the purchase of medicines for chemotherapy and hormone therapy, which has not been fully utilized.
The deputies approved the reports on state programs in the field of healthcare and adopted the relevant resolutions.
