The State support for young families

30.06.2021

The deputy corps considered amendments to the law "On state support for young families for the purchase of housing" immediately in two readings.  The list of recipients for housing subsidies will include the nursing staff of health care institutions and teachers of correctional schools. These categories were not eligible for government subsidies previously.

The Supreme Council considered another legislative initiative related to state subsidies for the purchase of housing. The amendments to the anti-crisis law were initiated by deputies Gregory Dyachenko, Sergei Cheban and Anton Onufrienko. They offered to provide an opportunity to receive state subsidies for the purchase of housing to the categories of state employees who are included in the law "On state support for young families for the purchase of housing", but have reached 35 years of age this year. As a reminder the law "On state support for young families for the purchase of housing" came into force in March 2020. Families can receive state subsidies for the first 5 years after marriage. The main condition is that the age of one of the spouses must not exceed 35 years. State support extends to single-parent families. The law did not start working, so many were unable to exercise their right due to the pandemic last year.

Parliamentarians adopted amendments to the law "On measures of state support in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency and restrictive measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection caused by a new type of COVID-19 virus in 2020 and 2021" in the second final reading.
