State support for young families

19.10.2022

Parliamentarians are working on amending the law on state support for young families to purchase housing. The deputies considered and adopted additions that will affect certain categories of employees of the PMR Ministry of Internal Affairs and nurses working in state (municipal) special (correctional) educational institutions at the plenary session today.

The Government proposes to supplement the list of those young families who can take state subsidies for the purchase of housing. Most of the additions apply to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the current legislation, only district inspectors are now entitled to subsidies from the state in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Additions to the list, according to the authors of the initiative, will increase the attractiveness of service in law enforcement agencies and increase motivation among employees who already serve in various departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The law-in-draft proposes to supplement the category of recipients of state subsidies for the purchase of housing by nurses who work in state (municipal) special (correctional) educational organizations. 27 people additionally will be able to apply for state support in purchasing housing according to preliminary estimates, after the adoption of the legislative initiative as a law. Most of them are employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. About two million rubles will be required for these purposes in 2023 in total. Financing will be held within the limits set in the republican budget under the state program of mortgage lending for young families.

The opinion of the relevant Committee and the authors of the legislative initiative was supported by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov.

Work on the law-in-draft will be continued in the second reading.
