The State Support for Children with special needs

Children with special needs, who for health reasons cannot attend educational institutions or day care centers, will receive a monthly compensation payment for food.

Children who were entitled to free meals or meals on preferential terms were provided with food packages or paid monetary compensation during the state of emergency.

There are 1244 disabled children in Pridnestrovie, only 657 of which are educated. More than 550 children with special needs for health reasons cannot receive education or study at home.

Such children were not provided with state earlier in the form of compensation payments for food. Now it is legally established that from January 1, 2022, children with special needs who, for health reasons, cannot attend educational organizations or day care centers for children with disabilities, will receive a monthly compensation payment in the amount of 45 minimum wage. It is 437 rubles at the moment.

The Supreme Council supported the initiative and adopted amendments to the law "On social protection of disabled people" in two readings at once.
