City councils establishes cooperation with Russian colleagues

Chairman of the Tiraspol City Council Vadim Doni and Chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of the city of Slobodzeya district and Slobodzeya Tatyana Zalevskaya are on working visit to Moscow as part of the Pridnestrovian delegation, headed by the speaker of the parliament Alexander Korshunov. They met with the Head of the Pridnestrovian Office in Moscow Leonid Manakov.

Vadim Doni and Tatiana Zalevskaya thanked the Head of the Representative Office for her help in establishing cooperation and relations between the Association of Local Self-Government of Pridnestrovie and the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government.

The agreement is scheduled to be signed in early autumn this year. The document will facilitate interaction between Pridnestrovian towns and districts with municipalities of Russia. Cooperation will allow the Pridnestrovian and Russian associations to exchange experience in the sphere of municipal governance, replenish their knowledge base with the best Russian practices and establish trusting relationships with Russian counterparts, deputies.

Leonid Manakov told the members of the Pridnestrovian delegation that the employees of the Pridnestrovian Representative Office in Moscow had developed joint Pridnestrovian-Russian projects. Various topics: culture, sports, social sphere and military-patriotic education of citizens. The planned within the projects activities had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year. This year they should definitely be implemented, because this is expected in both Pridnestrovie and Russia.
