Deputies of the State Duma Artem Turov and Aleksei Silanov, who took part in the parliamentary hearings held at the Supreme Council on the topic of supporting Russian compatriots, commented on the issues raised in their course.
Artem Turov, "We are grateful to Pridnestrovian colleagues for the invitation to participate in the parliamentary hearings. It is important for us to know, understand the troubling citizens of Pridnestrovie, our voters problems. Working on improving the Russian legislative framework, we take into account their wishes. This is a joint work of lawmakers, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo. Deputies of the lower house of the Russian parliament introduced legislations to facilitate the adoption of Russian citizenship by native speakers of the Russian language, as well as children, at least one of whose parents possesses it. Now the documents are being discussed in the State Duma committees. I hope that they will be adopted".
Alexei Silanov, "Literally two weeks ago in the State Duma, similar parliamentary hearings took place with the participation of compatriots who came from different countries to Moscow. Then, at present hearings in Tiraspol, the humanitarian and social aspect is important. Currently, there is an analysis of the implementation of the framework agreements that exist between the Government of PMR and federal authorities in the social sphere - health, education, culture, implementation of youth policy. The working meeting with the ministers of the social bloc of the government of Pridnestrovie will also be devoted to this in the second half of the day. This is necessary in order to determine the priority areas of cooperation that will be implemented this year and remote prospect".
