The Head of the Moldovan Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Michael Scanlan visited the legislature of Pridnestrovie, where he held talked with the Speaker of the Parliament Mikhail Burla. The dialogue with the American diplomat was also attended by Vice-speaker of the parliament, the head of the Committee for Foreign Policy and International Relations Sergey Cheban, deputies of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva and Viktor Guzun.
At the beginning of the meeting the speaker of parliament Mikhail Burla traditionally reported on the activities of the legislature, its structure, composition, tasks, inter-parliamentary cooperation. Traditionally the most close cooperation among Pridnestrovian deputies is established with colleagues from the Russian State Duma, as well as the legislatures of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh. A delegation of our Parliament to observe the parliamentary elections is going there.
The possibility of a resumption of dialogue of Pridnestrovian and Moldavian deputies was a special topic of conversation in the Parliament. Agreeing that the dialogue between the parliamentarians of the two banks of the Dniester is needed, Pridnestrovian deputies pointed out that it is entirely dependent on the resumption of public authorities, in accordance with the Constitution of PMR directly responsible for the conduct of foreign policy.
