The idea was repeatedly expressed in the speeches of the participants of the scientific and practical conference, which took place at PSU within the framework of the week of science, that the main resource and the main factor in the development of a modern state are science and scientific and technological progress. None of the spheres of life can move forward and provide a high-quality standard of living for people without this.

The Head of the science department recently created under the Government, Mikhail Burla, who headed the Committee on Education and Science in the VI convocation of the PMR Supreme Council, considers that Pridnestrovie needs a separate document that will define a strategy for the development of science.

Deputy of the Supreme Council Committee on Education, Public Associations and the Media Oleg Vasilaty made a report on the current problems of developing and implementing state policy in the sphere of scientific activity in Pridnestrovie. He considers that scientific activity should be considered somewhat broader than it is customary. According to Oleg Vasilaty, the main practical result of scientific activity in Pridnestrovie is the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel.

According to the parliamentarian, it is necessary in addition to develop social sciences, physics and mathematics, historical direction in Pridnestrovie. We also need research and development in the field of agriculture.

Separately, the conference participants emphasized in their speeches that it is necessary to involve more young people in science. Youth is the future and one of the main resources for the development of any sphere, including scientific activity.
