Editor-in-Chief of News of Pridnestrovie news agency approved by Parliament

The Supreme Council approved in the course of the plenary session the candidacy of the editor-in-chief of the state news agency News of Pridnestrovie proposed by the Government. Based on the law "On the Mass Media", the editor-in-chief is appointed for a period of 5 years. Alla Ivanchenko took over the leadership of the agency in May 2018, bringing new energy and professionalism to its work. News of Pridnestrovie as the leading news agency in the republic plays an important role in covering events taking place in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The news agency carries out a wide range of activities, including the collection and analysis of news, the preparation of texts, photos and infographics, and distributes them through various communication channels including social networks and instant messengers. An important feature of News of Pridnestrovie is the multilingual coverage of information. The agency provides news in Russian and English.

Chairman of the relevant Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga noted that Alla Ivanchenko's candidacy was approved by the deputies of the Committee. Answering the questions of the deputies at the meeting of the Committee, Alla Ivanchenko said that the work of the team of journalists and IT specialists allows News of Pridnestrovie to provide high-quality and up-to-date information to its audience, as well as quickly respond to changes in the information environment. The agency will expand information services and be able to withstand DDoS attacks that have been exposed to the websites of state authorities of the republic over the past year with the commissioning of a new server, which is now at the testing stage. Alla Ivanchenko noted a significant increase in the number of subscribers and increased interest from foreign media, which are increasingly reprinting materials and referring to the agency when publishing information about Pridnestrovie.

The parliamentarians unanimously supported the draft resolution on the appointment of Alla Ivanchenko to the post of editor-in-chief of News of Pridnestrovie news agency for the next 5 years.
