Flower-laying ceremony was held at the Glory Memorial traditionally, in honor of the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The leadership of the republic, deputies of the Supreme Council, representatives of public organizations, heads of ministries and departments laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and honored the memory of the heroes who in different years gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our region.
Military parade was held on the central square of the capital after the solemn ceremony of raising the state flags of the PMR and the Russian Federation.
Military personnel chasing a step, employees and students of institutions and units of power ministries and departments marched in orderly ranks before the first persons of the state and numerous spectators. The students of the Republican Cadet Corps, the Suvorov School, the cadets of the Military Institute, the ceremonial crews of the First Separate Aviation Detachment, the Special Forces of the Ministry of Defense and the military personnel of the PMR peacekeeping forces demonstrated their bearing and mastery of the front step.
The Guard of Honor Company demonstrated a new program with elements of weapon handling and special drill techniques traditionally, to the accompaniment of the Combined Military Band.
The equestrian crew of the Ministry of Internal Affairs showed a high level of training and complex elements of riding at the end of the parade.
The festive program dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the founding of the PMR continued in the capital's Catherine Park.
