The main document of the next year

The meeting of the Supreme Council was held online today. It was moderated by the Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva. This is due to the fact that Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Korshunov is now on a working visit to Moscow, where a number of meetings have already taken place with State Duma deputies and senators of the Federation Council.

The Supreme Council continued work on the 2021 budget and adopted the law-in-draft in the second reading. The budget review procedure implies the adoption of the document in three readings. In the first, the main parameters are approved. These are the planned income, as well as items of expenditure and the amount of funds that are planned to be spent on them. Corrections are made to the text part, principles and approaches to the directions of spending budget funds are determined in the second reading. The targeted programs that were presented earlier are approved in the third reading.

In particular, the deputies unanimously supported today the decision that monetary compensation in the amount of 1 thousand rubles on the deposits of the Soviet Union will be paid to our citizens born before 1950 inclusive. Previously it was paid to those born before 1945.

It was decided to form a fund for a mobilization reserve of funds that will be used to combat COVID as part of the second reading of the budget for 2021.

A large number of amendments were due to the fact that the mechanism for deducting customs payments is changing from next year. A single customs payment will be formed in Pridnestrovie from 2021. All types of customs payments provided by the current legislation will go directly to the republican budget in PMR rubles. Earlier, money was credited to the accounts of the State Customs Committee, and then redirected to the budget.

It was decided in the third reading to consider the draft budget for 2021 at a plenary meeting, which is scheduled for Friday, December 25. This will be the final meeting of the Supreme Council this year.
