The main tasks of the Supreme Council of the VII convocation

The newly elected deputy corps unanimously supported the candidacy of Alexander Korshunov for the post of Chairman of the Supreme Council. Galina Antyufeyeva will be his deputy again. She will continue to lead the Legislation Committee. The leaders of the Supreme Council were first congratulated by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky. The President wished them good luck and fruitful work.

Alexander Korshunov addressed those present in the hall with words of gratitude for their trust, but noted that the work of both the chairman and the deputies is not only an honorable mission to pass laws, raising his hand during voting. It is also a very difficult and responsible work, the result of which should be the development of our republic. Sometimes you have to make unpopular compromise decisions, but for the good of the state. Alexander Korshunov recalled the situation in the republic at the beginning of 2017, when Vadim Nikolaevich Krasnoselsky was elected the PMR President. The financial system was imbalanced, the banking sector had a huge amount of toxic assets, the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves was in a deep negative zone, the real sector of the economy was in crisis.

During this time, the financial and banking systems were stabilized, entrepreneurial activity was intensified, the necessary support was provided to the production sector, and an almost new Customs Code was developed. All this made it possible to stabilize the situation both in the economy of the republic and in the budget.

They managed to balance the budget on socially protected items together with the President and the Government in recent years. The volume of social obligations during this time has grown by a fairly large amount and is measured in hundreds of millions of rubles. At the same time, all social obligations of previous years were preserved. These commitments need to be financed further.

The structure of the republic's budget has changed for several years. The Capital Investment Fund appeared as an element of development. Taking into account the current situation, the Fund was reduced, but retained. According to the speaker of the Parliament, this suggests that the republic does not stop, but continues to develop.
