Pridnestrovie has a unique experience in the degree of involvement of civil society in the formation of government bodies. Chairman of the PMR CEC Elena Gorodetskaya noted this in her greeting to the participants of the round table.

The round table on the topic "30 years of development of the electoral system of Pridnestrovie: results and prospects", taking into account the epidemiological situation, was held in the format of a video conference. It was joined by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee Grigory Dyachenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government Stanislav Kasap, coordinator of the Rossotrudnichestvo program in Pridnestrovie Nikolay Zhuravlev, Honorary Chairman of the PMR CEC Petr Denisenko, State Adviser to the PMR President, Deputy Chairman of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies Anna Volkova.

Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who represent the interests of Pridnestrovians with Russian citizenship in the highest legislative body of Russia, sent their greetings to the participants of the round table. State Duma Deputy Sergei Chizhov has been to Pridnestrovie several times, including being an election observer. He emphasized that over the years of the existence of the Central Election Commission in Pridnestrovie, a full-fledged legislative base has been created that regulates the preparation and conduct of elections at various levels, and most importantly, providing a guarantee of observance of the electoral rights of citizens.

State Duma Deputy Alexander Yaroshuk noted that the creation of the Central Election Commission 30 years ago became a significant social and political event in Pridnestrovie and an important part of building a democratic society. The activities of the CEC made a significant contribution to the formation and development of executive and legislative bodies of power, local self-government.

On behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation Grigory Dyachenko conveyed congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the formation of the CEC of the PMR. Alexander Korshunov noted in his address that a lot has been done to develop a democratic electoral system and strengthen the constitutional institution of free elections, ensure and protect the electoral rights of citizens.

Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Legislation Grigory Dyachenko noted that it is customary in our republic to submit any important decisions to a nationwide vote. That is why many referendums were held in Pridnestrovie, where the entire civil society made decisions on the most important issues for the country.

The Head of the CEC of Pridnestrovie Elena Gorodetskaya expressed gratitude to the Legislation Committee of the Supreme Council for the prompt and constructive work to bring our legislation in line with the requirements of the time.

The participants of the round table in their speeches noted that the electoral system in Pridnestrovie and all its institutions took place. This allows us to form democratic governance in our state and speaks not only of the internal legitimacy of the authorities, but also makes it possible for Pridnestrovie in the international arena to look like a truly modern state, where the political course and the general vector of movement of the country depend on the decision of voters.
