The Head of Kamenka district summed up the results of 2022

The final in a series of reports of the heads of cities and regions of Pridnestrovie today was the report of the Head of the State Administration of Kamenka. Vladimir Bychkov told the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva, parliamentarians and guests about what the district lived and did in the past year.

The Head of the state administration of Kamenka district and Kamenka Vladimir Bychkov noted in the course of the report that the main part of the district's economy is agriculture. Thanks to this sector, the local budget received more than 19 million rubles in the form of tax deductions. 16 legal entities are engaged in agriculture in the region, more than 300 peasant farms and one subsidiary farm are registered today. The number of people wishing to work in the agro-industrial sector of the district has increased compared to last year. The area under arable land has increased. The farmers use 29.5 hectares of land now. However, the Head of the district noted that one of the main problems in the agro-industrial complex is the sale of agricultural products. About 47% of cereals, 49% of industrial crops and 59% of vegetables grown in the region have been sold. This is more than in 2021, but still not enough.

Vladimir Bychkov spoke as part of the report about the activities of one of the largest taxpayers in the region – the cannery of Kamenka. The owner constantly invests in the modernization of production. This amount amounted to 4.9 million rubles in 2022. The Head of the district focused on the plant's apple orchard. The garden project involves full mechanization of both care and harvesting. 315 hectares of the garden have already been planted at present, and it is planned to plant about the same number more.

Another important object for Kamenka district is the Dniester sanatorium. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic focused on the modern look of the building under construction and an interesting architectural solution. It was noted that not only existing facilities are being developed in Kamenka district, but new ones are also being opened. A branch of one of the major shoe manufacturers began to operate in 2022, and a woodworking shop was launched in the local forestry. Small business is also growing.

The Head of Kamenka spoke about the implementation of development programs in the region. Social facilities were financed in the amount of 5.7 million rubles as part of the Capital Investment Fund. 15 objects were repaired within the framework of the Foundation for the Execution of Orders of Voters by the deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic from the district of Kamenka. The interests of residents are represented by two deputies in the Parliament today.

Much attention is paid to the development of tourism in Kamenka. One of the interesting objects is the Wittgenstein Park. More than 11 million rubles have been invested in its renovation. The building of the former boarding school has been converted into a sports hotel; it is used among other things to accommodate tourist groups. Works on conservation and partial restoration of the synagogue and the Intercession Church in the village of Rashkovo have been carried out. Another object in the republic's oldest village, the grave of Rabbi Shabtai in the Jewish cemetery became a place of pilgrimage for Jews last year.

The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the tourism potential of the region. The President is confident that this direction in the region needs to be further actively developed. Strengthening this sector of the economy to support small businesses.

As for the beginning of the year, it was noted that in 2023 it is planned to put in order one of the schools in Kamenka at the meeting, a kindergarten in the village of Krasny Oktyabr and a school in the village of Katerinovka, as well as a sports complex in Oknitsa and other social facilities. The work of the state administration of Kamenka district at the end of 2022 was recognized as satisfactory.
