Meeting of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky and representatives of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum took place in the House of Official Receptions. The public figures told the head of state about the results of inspections of social facilities repaired at the expense of the republican budget. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov took part in the discussion.
Co-chairman-coordinator of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum Coordination Council Yuri Cheban noted that the control commission inspected 50 out of 150 facilities of the Capital Investment Fund in 2023. In addition, the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum conducted inspections for the first time at facilities from the Road Fund program last year, on the instructions of the President of the PMR. The All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum inspectors checked 45 out of the 250 facilities included in the program.
All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum inspectors in the course of the inspections talked not only with the organizations that are the balance holders of the renovated facilities. First of all, the public activists were interested in the opinion of people who regularly visit these social institutions – parents of schoolchildren and kindergarten pupils, employees of correctional institutions and medical and obstetric stations.
Yuri Cheban noted that the attitude of balance holders and contractors to issues related to the quality of the implementation of the Capital Investment Fund and Road Fund programs is becoming more and more responsible every year.
Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that 537 facilities were repaired and improved during the entire period of the Capital Investment Fund program in the republic. There are schools and kindergartens, hospitals and medical and obstetric stations, sports grounds, parks and squares among them. The program continues.
The heads of the territorial branches of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum presented reports on the work for the first half of 2024. The activists spoke about minor violations identified during inspections. There were proposals to conduct inspections of repaired facilities a year after they were put into operation. This will allow for a better assessment of the quality of the work performed. The condition of the courtyard areas was among the main problems identified by the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum inspectors. This problem has been repeatedly discussed both at the by the presidential executive office and the Supreme Council. The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov told those present about the history of the issue.
The PMR Supreme Council Chairman recalled that the parliament considered this year the legislative initiative of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which proposed to repair internal driveways using funds from the Road Fund.
The presidential initiative, which was considered in the spring session, caused heated discussions among the deputy corps both at the meeting of the relevant Committee and at the plenary session. However, the law-in-draft did not receive enough votes and was rejected.
The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky at today's meeting with representatives of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum proposed to return to this topic again in the autumn session. The President instructed to prepare a new legislative initiative and send it for consideration to the Supreme Council.
The problem of street lighting in the cities and districts of the republic was discussed. The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik recalled that this year the Supreme Council adopted the state target program "Replacement of street lighting lamps with mercury-containing lamps on public roads of the PMR, owned by the state and municipalities, with LED lamps", which is designed until 2028.
The co-chairman of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum, the head of the parliamentary committee on education, public associations and media Igor Buga spoke about the important role that the public control mechanism plays in Pridnestrovie.
The most active inspectors of the All-Pridnestrovian People's Forum as well as the heads of the most reliable contractors at the end of the reporting part of the event were awarded letters of gratitude from the Forum.
Summing up the meeting, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the consolidating role of the All-Republican People's Forum.
