A real open-air exhibition took place in front of the building of the capital's House of Culture. There are fire trucks, equipment that recently helped rescue people from snow drifts, boats for water rescue, and jet skis for patrolling the Dniester. All passers-by could sit behind the wheel or the steering wheel, be sure to take a photo and listen to the story of a real firefighter about why all these devices are in the car. The rescue technique was most popular among little boys and their parents and grandmothers.
Senior Inspector of the State River Transport Inspectorate of the Main Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Sergei Gutyun shows a boat that sailed along the Dniester several times a week this summer. He explained to everyone why rescuers need such a boat.
Adults were also interested in seeing technology that helps save other people’s lives. Among the largest exhibits was a ladder truck. It can lift firefighters to a height of up to 30 meters (this is a 9th floor roof or a 10th floor window) and lower them along with the rescued people.
The guests, including the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov and the heads of the law enforcement agencies of the republic, were shown a short film about the work of rescuers in Pridnestrovie in the hall of the House of Culture.
Each of its employees has saved dozens of lives. Rescuers are on duty both day and night. They are literally ready to walk into fire and go under water to do the seemingly impossible and save someone’s life. Speaker of Parliament Alexander Korshunov congratulated the Department and its employees on the anniversary of its creation.
5 rescuers gave their lives to save other people’s lives during the operation of the Main Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Their memory was honored with a minute of silence.
Distinguished employees of the Main Directorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic were presented with state awards and given new titles.
