The Vice-President of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva announced the plans of the legislature for the spring session. The Vice Speaker focused on the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy approved by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky for 2019-2026. The document defines the directions and ways of achieving in the long term a sustainable increase in the welfare of Pridnestrovians, national security, and dynamic development of the economy.
Galina Antyufeyeva focused the attention of representatives of the mass media on a significant event for Pridnestrovians - the opening of the PMR Official Representative Office in the capital of Russia. The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council called this “a step forward in the context of relations between the PMR and the Russian Federation”. The official representative office of Pridnestrovie in Moscow was opened on January 22, 2019. Its tasks include issues of assistance to Pridnestrovian residents in building cultural, humanitarian, socio-economic and other ties, maintaining direct contacts with the authorities in Moscow, interacting with public organizations, exchanging information, and integrating Pridnestrovian culture into Russia and the world. In agreement with the Commission of the Supreme Council of the PMR on international relations Leonid Manakov was appointed the head of the representative office.
