Galina Andreeva, “We will work till the recognition of the republic”

Leaders of the Supreme Council congratulated Pridnestrovian women on the anniversary of the formation of the Women's Strike Committee who 24 years ago defended the republic who have not turned off this road to this day.

The history of women's movement in Pridnestrovie originates September 1, 1991, when thousands gathered for a rally of women of inhabitants of Tiraspol in front of the House of Soviets. Then there was the “rail blockade”, glorifying Pridnestrovian women all over the world and play a major role in the preservation of the Pridnestrovian statehood. Women's strike committee next year will mark quarter-century anniversary. Its members are actively involved in public life.

In the course of the meeting with parliamentarians the women defender talked about the fact that today the inhabitants of the republic need the support of no less than in the early 90s. They are concerned with who elderly who have to cope with third of a well-earned retirement loses. They asked the deputies and expressed opinion on improving the economic situation in the country. We talked about the importance of elections, which is scheduled for the end of November.

Pridnestrovie is full of mother love. Hearts of women beat in unison with the state, because the republic - is their child.
