The development of land reclamation is an important area of ​​both the agro-industrial complex and the economy of the republic as a whole, according to the deputies of the Supreme Council. Irrigation is becoming an integral part of the cultivation of crops in the face of climate change. The development of the industry and obtaining high yields is impossible without a clear program. The concept of the industry development will make it possible to timely carry out current and overhaul repairs of amelioration networks, purchase equipment and machinery, and determine priority tasks. The deputy corps unanimously adopted in the second reading the law-in-draft "On land reclamation in the PMR" today in the course of the meeting.

The final adoption of the law-in-draft, which was developed by the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex and Industry, was preceded by a series of joint meetings of the working group of the Supreme Council and the Government. The deputies and government representatives came to a common opinion that the long-standing needs to legislatively regulate legal relations associated with the reclamation complex.

The Land Reclamation Development Fund will be created on the basis of the law, financial resources to which will come from the targeted collection. According to the deputy corps, the adoption of the law “On land reclamation in the PMR” will provide an opportunity to finance and carry out all the necessary work to restore the reclamation complex of our republic.

The adopted document indicates the goals and main tasks of the development of the reclamation complex. Among them there is increasing the productivity and sustainability of agriculture, ensuring the preservation and improvement of soil fertility, effective state management of the objects of the reclamation system, as well as financing of measures for the restoration and reconstruction of reclamation and irrigation systems. All this is necessary, first of all, to ensure the food security of the republic. The law describes the types and types of land reclamation in the PMR, as well as the ownership and procedure for the operation of reclamation systems. In addition, the document clearly states how state control and accounting in the field of land reclamation will be carried out.
