The Validity of Laws

29.04.2015

Deputies of the “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction considered some of the issues included in the agenda of the plenary session.

In particular, proposed amendments to the law "On Information, Information Technologies and Protection of Information" caused lively discussion of deputies. Their essence results in possibility of pre-trial restriction of access to information the Internet resource or posted information; in case there will be information of an extremist nature. The public prosecutor or his deputies is to identify the nature of the law-in-draft. A provider and authorized by the Government the executive body of state authority in the sphere of information policy are included to the process chain to limit access to Internet sites and the information they provide. The first thing that members of the group are interested in that's who and how will determine extremist information on the Internet. Second, parliamentarians still incline to the fact that any restrictions in obtaining information by citizens must be installed in accordance with the decision of the judicial authority, which is designed to quickly deal with cases in which we are talking about information security of the state.

There was some discussion during the meeting of “The Obnovlenie” faction retarding the census procedures holding in Pridnestrovie in the fall of this year. The executive bodies already defined its term - October 2015.

The head of parliamentary committee responsible for the legislation Galina Antyufeeva, told colleagues that the size of the penalty for some offenses is increased many times, for their repeated commission and the commission provided for criminal penalties.

Deputies of the profile parliamentary committee, opposing a significant increase in penalties for violations of an administrative nature, recommend colleagues on the deputies to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading. But on one condition - to reduce the size originally proposed by the author of the legislative initiative of fines in the course of second reading on the draft law.
