Multi-faceted Issues

15.03.2017

The agenda of the weekly meeting of “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction included the most multi-faceted issues, however, like the lawmaking activity itself. It began with the information of the deputy Alexander Korshunov, who as an international observer took part in the recent parliamentary elections in Abkhazia. Colleagues were interested to learn about some of the nuances and peculiarities of the Abkhaz electoral law, may be to modernize one's own.

The PMR Prosecutor's Office initiated the adoption of a number of legislations, aimed at expanding its powers, increasing the level of protection of citizens' rights and freedoms. However, the attitude of the judiciary to their content is ambiguous.

Chairman of the Committee for State Regional Policy Oleg Vasilaty presented two legislations to his colleagues that deal with the misuse and unreasonable use of funds collected from residents for maintenance and repair of houses. If such facts are established, the perpetrators will be brought to administrative and criminal responsibility. At the same time, a mechanism will be used that is already used in relation to the misuse and unjustified spending of budgets of various levels.

Members of “The Obnovlenie” expressed unanimous solidarity with the President Vadim Krasnoselsky who offered to completely free invalids and participants of military operations in the Great Patriotic War from any fees, taxes, payments. The privilege will be for about 200 people.
