Research Funding

The Government proposes to allocate 8.158 million rubles for Government orders for research, development and technological work, as well as for monitoring the activities of research laboratories and analyzing the effectiveness of their work. Corresponding contracts will be concluded with scientists.

To date, budgetary funds have been allocated monthly for scientific research to pay for the work of employees of university research laboratories. According to the Government, such a waste of budget funds is inefficient. This issue was discussed in the course of the meeting of “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction.

Deputies consider that a change in the mechanism of financing scientific activity should be supported by a base of by-laws. The parliamentarians intend to resolve the issue of financing science as soon as possible, PSU from this year will be accredited by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov consider that in the year of accreditation it is not worth changing the financing mechanism.

Decision on the law-in-draft will be taken in plenary.

Deputies heard the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev in closed session. He spoke about the situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, as well as about the relations of the republic with the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
