Funding for the road fund is planned to be increased

The Supreme Council considered the law-in-draft on amendments to the Law "On the Road Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic". The law-in-draft, proposed by the Government and supported by the relevant Committee of the Parliament, proposes to increase deductions from fees and charges, which will allow accumulating additional funds in the Road Fund.

The authors of the legislative initiative predict an increase in funding for the Road Fund by about 43 million rubles annually. The new norms for deductions will be taken into account when drawing up the republican budget for 2024.

Additional funds will allow for more large-scale and high-quality work on the construction, repair and maintenance of road infrastructure. Improved road conditions improve road safety, reduce the likelihood of accidents and increase the comfort of drivers and pedestrians.

The law-in-draft was supported by deputies in two readings at once during one plenary session on July 12. It is planned that it will come into effect from the beginning of next year.
