The final round of the annual contest of young readers and poets "The Living Word" was held on April 13. “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) Party is implementing this project for students for the seventh time. The children who were qualified as part of a regional tour, participate in the finals of the competition, according to the party site. Readers from all over the republic, from Kamenka to Dnestrovsk, gathered in Tiraspol.
107 schoolchildren fought for the victory in the competition (it has three age categories and two nominations - “Expressive reading” and “Copyright creativity”). This year 1.2 thousand children took part in the competition. Readers 'speeches are evaluated by a jury composed of the Head of methodical department of the party’s central office Tatyana Kosenko, the Head of the Moldovan language and literature laboratory of the Pridnestrovian State University Dorina Gabuja, people's artist of Pridnestrovie Igor Taran, head of the junior schoolchildren of the Central City Children's Library Elena Mezentseva, member of the Writers' Union of Pridnestrovie Larisa Ladyka.
Young readers were greeted by the deputy of the Supreme Council, a member of “The Obnovlenie” party, Sergei Vasiliev. The parliamentarian warmly congratulated the children on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Pridnestrovie from the German-Romanian invaders, Cosmonautics Day and, of course, on reaching the final.
