Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov held a meeting with Yuri Mishcheryakov, First Vice-President of the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities of the CIS, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of the city of Tiraspol Vadim Doni.
A wide range of issues relevant to the residents of Pridnestrovie were discussed in the course of the dialogue. Yuri Mishcheryakov was a member of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots in the VII convocation of the State Duma of Russia.
It was possible in the course of the meeting to discuss issues related to Russian investments in the economy of Pridnestrovie, pensions, the work of the consular post of Russia in terms of replacing expired passports.
The Russian guest emphasized that during the 5 years that he worked in the State Duma Committee, there was rarely such a week that the issue of Pridnestrovie and the problems that exist in our republic was not raised.
The meeting participants discussed issues of interaction and cooperation within the framework of the International Assembly of capitals and large cities of the CIS countries. Yuri Mishcheryakov has been the first vice-president of this organization for 21 years. Tiraspol as the capital of Pridnestrovie is included in this organization. It is a platform where city leaders can exchange experiences. The Assembly has a huge electronic library. Yuri Mishcheryakov represents another large organization - the General Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia. He came to Tiraspol with an order from the Secretary General of this assembly to sign an agreement on cooperation with our republic.
The Assembly today includes 45 countries. According to Yuri Mishcheryakov, Pridnestrovie will take its rightful place among them and cooperation will only develop. There are all the necessary conditions for this.
