Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba and Deputy Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Law Enforcement, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Gregory Dyachenko are among the participants in the expanded meeting of the Investigative Committee. The presidium also includes the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap and the head of the Investigative Committee Vyacheslav Brynzar, in the hall - other responsible persons, investigators.

Among the criminal cases investigated by the employees of the IC and resonant, they were initiated by former senior officials of Evgeny Shevchuk, Yuri Gervazyuk, Sergei Mantalutsu, Nadezhda Baranova, Eduard Kosovsky, Alexander Lyanka, and others. The investigators paid special attention to the corruption manifestations that were last year recorded 70, including four - in their own ranks.

One more figure testifies to the intensity of the work of the Investigative Committee: 116,000 incoming and outgoing documents were registered in the past year, and only 9,500 in the first month of this year. According to the head of the IC, the staffing issue remains, the professional skill of the investigators is still topical. Among Vyacheslav Brynzar's tasks for this year is the reduction in the timing of criminal cases (71 cases went beyond the time frame of the investigation in 2017), strengthening coordination with other law enforcement agencies and departments.

Anatoly Guretsky, the head of the supervisory authority, spoke about the qualitatively new level of interaction between the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office. The public prosecutor of the republic concluded that "the guideline for us is the Russian legislation".

The outcome of the conversation about the work of investigators last year was summed up by President Vadim Krasnoselsky. First of all, he drew the attention of the leadership of the Investigative Committee to the need to improve the skills of the staff.

The President paid special attention to the investigation of the road accident cases. In this regard, Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed his opinion on the current legislation in this sphere.

The President informed the participants of the enlarged meeting that at the legislative level the prosecutor's office will be returned the previous powers. The President acknowledged the work of the employees of the Investigative Committee last year as satisfactory.
