The investigators paid special attention to the corruption manifestations that were last year recorded 70, including four - in their own ranks.
One more figure testifies to the intensity of the work of the Investigative Committee: 116,000 incoming and outgoing documents were registered in the past year, and only 9,500 in the first month of this year. According to the head of the IC, the staffing issue remains, the professional skill of the investigators is still topical. Among Vyacheslav Brynzar's tasks for this year is the reduction in the timing of criminal cases (71 cases went beyond the time frame of the investigation in 2017), strengthening coordination with other law enforcement agencies and departments.
Anatoly Guretsky, the head of the supervisory authority, spoke about the qualitatively new level of interaction between the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office. The public prosecutor of the republic concluded that "the guideline for us is the Russian legislation".
