Contributing effectively to the joint work of two Parliaments

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia Umakhan Umakhanov emphasized that the dialogue between the parliaments of Pridnestrovie and Russia was always effective and helped to solve the most pressing issues of Pridnestrovians.

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia, representing the interests of the Pridnestrovian Russians, Artem Turov noted that Russian deputies maintain constant contact with their colleagues from Pridnestrovie. Russian parliamentarians are already familiar with many of the issues that were voiced during the meeting. Artem Turov focused on the topic of material assistance to veterans, which was allocated by the President of Russia in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory. The fact is that a one-time financial aid from the Russian budget was to be delivered to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Pridnestrovie, but so far it has not come. The Pridnestrovian parliament expressed concern about this injustice.

Artem Turov also thanked the Obnovlenie Party for the assistance provided in the framework of interaction with United Russia in the work of public receptions in the territory of Pridnestrovie.

The Russian parliamentarian emphasized that relations between the deputies of the State Duma and the Supreme Council are strengthening from year to year. Sergei Chizhov noted that the public reception office, which works in Tiraspol, received a huge number of citizens' appeals.

The parliamentarian suggested on the basis of the public reception office in Pridnestrovie to hold online receptions and meet more often to discuss current issues. Sergei Chizhov, representing the interests of the Pridnestrovian Russians in the State Duma, expressed the hope that this round table on inter-parliamentary cooperation will become an effective contribution to the further joint work of the two parliaments.
