Preparation for the election of the President of the Russian Federation, scheduled for March 18, is in full swing. The chairman of the Central Election Commission Elena Gorodetskaya informed members of “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction about what has already been done to date.

A common goal - for both the public and the authorities - is to ensure the impeccability of the electoral process, says Elena Gorodetskaya. Information on the location of polling stations in each city has already appeared in the media. Visiting commissions will work for villagers. The schedule of their work is coordinated with the heads of district state administrations. Elena Gorodetskaya asked the parliamentarians to assist in informing citizens. This is especially needed for the elderly, who can not always hear or see information in mass-media.

Members of the parliamentary association noted that many voters are interested in the question, on the basis of what documents one can be participated in the voting? As the head of the CEC noted, in addition to the Russian passport, you can vote on the Soviet passport, if it has an insert or a note on Russian citizenship.

Along with the issue of elections, members of the parliamentary faction discussed legislative initiatives on the agenda of today's plenary session. Deputies paid special attention to the package of legislative initiatives aimed at attracting investments into the economy of the republic. The legislations were drafted by the government and supported by a specialized parliamentary committee. The Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov told the members of the faction what is proposed.

Parliamentarians agreed: to attract foreign investors, of course, "superlatives" and "super-guarantees" are necessary. "Investors will not work in another way" said parliamentarian Mikhail Burla, who has repeatedly participated in negotiations with representatives of foreign capital. There are no significant changes in this direction under the current legislation. Members of the faction suppose that adoption of legislative initiatives can change the situation for the better.
