The Uniform Database Requirements

The Supreme Council adopted a package of legislations concerning the creation of a single population register in Pridnestrovie in the second final reading. The initiatives of the President are aimed at simplifying the provision of public services to the population by state authorities and local governments.

The unified register will contain basic information about Pridnestrovians, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing on the territory of the republic: full name, gender, etc., as well as an identification number that will be assigned to each individual. Thus, population data will be up-to-date and reliable. The level of online interaction between departments will increase.

The information contained in the unified register is subject to protection in accordance with the legislation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of State Security will control the implementation of security measures during the processing of personal data in the register.

The law-in-draft “On the unified register of the population”, adopted by the deputies of the Supreme Council, after signing by the President, will enter into force on January 1, 2024.

Amendments were made at the same time to the laws that relate to the introduction of a new norm on a single register: “On individual (personalized) registration in the state pension insurance system”, “On state pension provision of citizens in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, “On the basics of compulsory social insurance”, “On education”, “On employment of the population”.
