Dubossary celebrate the City Day

Today is a holiday in Dubossary. Residents celebrate the 661st anniversary of the founding of the city. Traditionally, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, Vice Speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva, Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Government Alexander Martynov, deputies of the Supreme Council for the district and the city administration laid fresh flowers at the Monument to the Soviet Soldier and on the stone slabs of the Glory Memorial.

The main events dedicated to the City Day were held on Victory Square. Representatives of labor collectives and guests of the city have gathered here today.

Oleg Bayev wished the residents of the city health and prosperity. The the deputy considers that we can make the republic even more beautiful only by working together.

The PMR President presented orders and medals to the best residents of Dubossary for high achievements in medicine, production and culture. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked them for their love for their native land and the efforts made to ensure that the Dubossary region developed and became modern.

Victor Laskaun headed the Doiban Village Council for more than 15 years. Today he was awarded the Order of Labor Glory. Viktor Samoilovich told our film crew that it is a great honor for him to receive a state award from the hands of the President.

In addition, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeyeva and the leadership of the city of Dubossary handed over passports of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic to the young citizens of Pridnestrovie. Today 16-year-old Anna Nagachevskaya has a double holiday: City Day and the receipt of the first official document.

The festive events are continued by the festive concert program of the municipal brass band called "Fanfare of the beloved city". In addition, creative teams from Dubossary will perform.
