To increase the number of military donors - this is the goal pursued by the legislative initiative, which today was supported by the Supreme Council.
Donors are entitled to an additional day of rest after donated blood according to the current legislation. This is due to the fact that a person needs time to rest and restore blood volume. Servicemen did not have such a right until now.
The law-in-draft proposes to supplement the current legislation and consolidate at the level of the law the right of servicemen who donate blood to additional day of rest.
According to the deputies of the Supreme Council, the adoption of such provision of the law will increase the number of military donors, which will help to better meet the current needs of medical institutions for donated blood.
