Additional funds for the social sphere and the economy

The deputies considered a large package of amendments to the law "On the Republican Budget for 2021" during the plenary session. This initiative of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was considered in the first reading. The President proposed to change some parameters of the main financial document, which relate to the development of the social sphere and the stimulation of economic activity in our state. Additional funds will be used to replace window blocks in the entrances of apartment buildings in particular. The funding limits for the repair of roofs in medical institutions that have suffered during the summer hurricanes and downpours will also increase.

Additional funds will be directed to those programs that have shown their effectiveness in the economic sphere.

Another direction, the financing of which has been proposed to increase, is associated with the program of concessional lending, which is currently being implemented in the republic. Businesses can take out a bank loan at a low interest rate. Part of the interest rate is subsidized by the state. Credit limits will be increased for organizations that work in the field of agriculture. Entrepreneurs will have additional opportunities to take a soft loan for the purchase of new equipment or equipment for irrigation systems, for example. Proposed by the PMR President the changes to the budget of the current year were adopted by the Supreme Council in the first reading.
