Pridnestrovians use other methods of heating their apartments and houses in the absence of gas. Many still have stoves in the villages. Klavdiya Arkan from Blizhny Khutor has a stove at home, but she has lit it only twice since the beginning of January, while there was leftover firewood. There was no one to help her prepare new ones. Klavdiya Yakovlevna buried her husband 12 years ago, she is a diabetic, she is registered with an oncologist and endocrinologist. She moves with difficulty with a cane, as she recently underwent two leg surgeries. I learned from friends that volunteers from “The Heirs of Victories” movement were helping with firewood. The woman's request was responded to immediately. The guys came and sawed up the old pallets, boards and sticks that the owner had on her property.
There is no water supply to Klavdiya Yakovlevna's house, and there is no sewage system either. There was gas until January 1, it was possible to heat the rooms with a gas boiler, cook food on a gas stove, but now the only amenities are electrical appliances, which cannot always be used due to rolling and emergency power outages. It is important in these difficult times to help Pridnestrovians who do not have loved ones nearby, emphasized Igor Buga, Deputy of the Supreme Council and head of “The Heirs of Victories” youth movement.
Igor Buga said that volunteers from “The Heirs of Victories” movement are helping residents of his capital district No. 29 "Odessa", this is a private sector of the Oktyabrsky microdistrict. Help is provided to lonely Pridnestrovians throughout Tiraspol, including the villages of Sukleya and Blizhniy Khutor, which are territorially adjacent to Tiraspol.
A resident of Blizhniy Khutor thanked the volunteers for their help, but the prepared firewood will only be enough to heat the stove for a few days; Klavdiya Arkan left a request for free firewood as assistance from the state. The pensioner hopes like all Pridnestrovians that gas will soon begin to flow again to private sector homes.
“The Heirs of Victories” help those in need while the energy crisis continues in Pridnestrovie. If elderly and seriously ill residents of Tiraspol and the villages of Sukleya and Blizhniy Khutor have firewood, but no one to chop it, you can call 0 (779) 86363 and 0 (779) 72422 and leave a request. Volunteers can bring medicines to those who need it. The plans include helping large families and single mothers.
