The President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba, parliamentarians and government representatives together with the Russian military laid flowers to the eternal fire. Here was a prayer service for the lost defenders of the Fatherland. As the President noted, celebrating the Victory Day together with Russian peacekeepers became a good tradition.

The Pridnestrovian and Russian military men marched along the main square of Tiraspol today in a single formation. According to the head of OGRV Dmitry Zelenkov, the Great Victory Day is the main one for everyone whose fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought for the freedom of one big country.

The Russian military has been fulfilling its mission of preserving peace on the banks of the Dniester for 26 years. Pridnestrovian and Russian armies demonstrate unity and solidarity, remembering that their fathers and grandfathers did the same.

The military town of Operational Group of Russian Forces today was visited by thousands of Pridnestrovians.
