The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law "On Employment" proposed by the Government. One of the goals of the law-in-draft is to change the deregistration procedure at the employment center. According to the developers of the document, citizens who have refused one place of suitable work under fixed-term (at least a year) or unlimited employment contract or from one recommendation to undergo vocational training or retraining should be subject to deregistration. Members of the relevant committee on social policy, labor, family and childhood issues consider such standards rather stringent, therefore, they proposed to remove unemployed citizens from the register if they are qualified after they refuse two jobs or two recommendations. Deputies consider it necessary to prescribe the procedure for deregistration of citizens who have not previously worked and at the same time do not have professional education.
Such a decision, according to the parliamentarian, should help increase the number of working citizens. According to the EGSS, at the beginning of July this year, 3090 unemployed were in the employment center with more than 3800 vacancies available.
Members of the responsible parliamentary committee prepared another amendment regarding the provision of material assistance. It can be obtained by the unemployed, their dependent family members, as well as citizens during the period of vocational training, retraining, advanced training in the direction of the Fund, if there is a need for treatment, restoration of housing after a fire and other reasons.
The deputy corps supported the opinion of colleagues from the relevant committee. Changes to the law "On Employment" adopted in the second, final reading. After signing by the President, the law will enter into force on January 1, 2020.
