The President signed on the 29th of June the amendments to the law "On Social Protection of War Veterans" adopted by the deputy corps. The authorship of the corresponding law-in-draft belongs to the parliamentarians Vadim Kravchuk and Andrei Safonov. The legislative initiative, developed by the deputies from the Rybnitsa district, was born in response to the appeal of the local union of defenders of Pridnestrovie.
It is based on the possibility of free transportation (round trip and return) on all modes of transport (except taxis) throughout the territory of the PMR while going to the place of treatment (medical examination) in the direction or call of medical institutions for the defenders of our state. Most often, they are examined and treated in the Republican hospital for war invalids, located in Tiraspol.
The provisions of the law, signed by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky will come into force on January 1, 2019.
Among the signed by the President there is law on amending the Constitutional Law "On PMR citizenship", adopted by the people's representatives in two readings on June 20. Legislative innovation is designed to simplify the procedure for obtaining citizenship of Pridnestrovie by minors born on the territory of Pridnestrovie. The legal novelty was caused by numerous appeals of citizens, who had difficulties in registering the citizenship of the PMR to children under the age of majority.
The entry into force of this law will simplify the procedure for admission to citizenship, and as a requirement it is necessary to consent only one of the parents of minors born on the territory of the republic. Previously, this required the consent of the two parents, regardless of their nationality. At the age of 18, this is possible without the consent of parents.
