The Dialogue at Different Levels

Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Shcherba held a meeting with the chairmen of city and district Councils of People's Deputies. The chairman of the parliamentary committee for state regional policy Oleg Vasilaty also took part in the discussion.

The leaders of the local self-government bodies informed the legislators about how the summer health campaign is underway in the cities and regions of the republic. This year, summer recreational areas in Tiraspol were opened on the basis of six schools. Approximately 900 children rested under the supervision of teachers. Another 900 young Pridnestrovians  visited "The Spartacus" camp. It will operate in three shifts of 15 days. Such data led the chairman of the city council Albina Ivanova. According to her, one of the main problems that prevent children's recreation in camps is an abundance of acarian. The staff of sanitary and epidemiological services is actively fighting with them.

The presence of the problem was confirmed by the chairman of the Bendery City Council, Yuri Kara. 11 recreational areas have been opened on the basis of city schools for young residents of Dubossary this year. Totally 800 children could rest here. The summer camp was opened by "The Youth" camp. This summer there will rest more than 700 children. Children's playgrounds are also opened in Slobodzeia, Grigoriopol, Rybnitsa and Dubossary districts. All the conditions were created for children: a varied diet, a nap, a rich cultural and sports program.

The next question, discussed by the participants of the meeting, concerned the payment of leave to teachers. As the heads of local self-government noted, this year there are no problems with these payments due to the previously created reserve. Teachers receive leave on time and in full.

The chairman of the Council of People's Deputies of Slobodzeia district and the city of Slobodzeia Vasily Chernobay informed the speaker about the arrears in the payment for meals for children in educational institutions. The problem persists for a long time. The head of the legislature recommended the development of appropriate changes to the next year's budget in order to create funds for these purposes.

The Speaker of the Parliament Alexander Shcherba informed his colleagues that today the deputies in the first reading supported the draft concept of fiscal and tax policy for 2018 and medium-term perspective.

In addition, the chairmen of local councils are instructed to present a program of social and economic development of cities. As the chairman of the parliamentary committee for state regional policy Oleg Vasilaty said, in the village of Chobruchi such a program has already been developed.

As it was emphasized during the last meeting, the development program should include various areas: education, sports, culture, health, rural and housing and communal services.
