The working trip around the republic ended with the meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with deputies of Bendery. This is the hometown of the President, therefore special attention is paid to it. The dialogue lasted almost 3 hours. The interests of Bendery residents are represented by 6 deputies of the Supreme Council and 27 deputies of the city council.
Questions to the President are very different: from foreign policy and the work of the Russian consulate in Tiraspol to problems in the housing and utilities sector and road repair.
The condition of roads in Bendery, inner courtyard territories and inner-quarter driveways leaves much to be desired, the deputies emphasized at the meeting. This is not a problem for one particular district. Due to the pandemic, funding for the Road Fund has been cut, but the main roads are still being maintained. Deputy in constituency # 1, Speaker of parliament Alexander Korshunov drew attention to the fact that inner courtyard territories and inner-quarter passages do not belong to roads and funding for their repair and maintenance is not allocated at all.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that he does not like the distribution of funding for the roads in Bendery. The President suggested to the deputies of the city council to initiate the issue of transferring the local in order to rectify the situation, but actually republican directions, to the category of officially republican highways, funds for the maintenance of which will be allocated from the Road Fund of the republic.
According to the Head of State Administration of the city of Bendery Roman Ivanchenko, there are 224 km of city roads in the city and driveways to large objects within the quarters. 110 km are intra-quarter driveways and courtyard areas, funds for the maintenance and repair of which have never been allocated at all. The PMR President noted: it is necessary to move away from the technology of using asphalt and take into account the laying of concrete or paving slabs in the courtyards and inside the neighborhoods. It is both cheaper and more practical.
Another important topic is the sphere of housing and communal services. Some addresses, where repairs are needed for many years, are postponed from year to year, and this year, for almost 5 months, the housing office in Bendery has not been engaged in repairs of the housing stock, the deputies noted.
The PMR President spoke about the importance of interaction between the branches of government and the fact that many issues can be resolved at the local level. The deputies say: some of the issues require assistance from the country's leadership.
Deputy of the Bendery City Council Oleg Tarasov specified what prospects Bendery has for the Capital Investment Fund. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that 19 kindergartens, 12 schools, 5 correctional institutions, 4 health care facilities, 4 sports schools, 1 cultural object, 3 park zones and 2 sports grounds of the city of Bendery were covered by the Capital Investment Fund program. 157 million rubles were spent on repairs and construction. Citizens have a lot of requests, but they won't be able to do everything right away. The Capital Investment Fund will become multi-year - the funds will be pledged for 6 years, the initiative is now under consideration by the Parliament. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that it is necessary to take into account all opinions and listen to the position of the deputy corps when compiling a list of objects that need repair or reconstruction.
The dialogue between the PMR President and the deputies of the Supreme and local Soviets concerned the need to continue subsidizing the inter-tariff difference, investment programs of natural monopoly enterprises, repair of housing and communal services, vaccinations, restoration of summer camps, and the problem of land grabbing. Vadim Krasnoselsky gave instructions to the Government and assistants during the meeting with the deputies of the Supreme and City Councils for the city of Bendery, so there is confidence that the situation on the issues and problems will be improved.
