Deputies during the plenary session discussed the draft laws submitted as a legislative initiative of the head of state. Documents were presented by the Head of Legal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Radion Chebotar. In particular, the author proposed to increase penalties under Art. 316 of the Criminal Code "Contempt the authorities" and Art. 5.61 "contempt" of the Code of Administrative Offences.
The head of state offers, in particular, instead of the fixed fine of 200 to 350 minimum wage, and compulsory work for a period of 120 to 180 hours to set fines ranging from 300 to 500 the calculated level of the minimum wage and increase alternative form of punishment in the form of compulsory work for a term of 200 to 240 hours.
Deputies were interested, in which connection the author proposes a significant increase in sanctions. Parliamentary committees and deputies Andrei Sipchenko and Tatiana Turanskaya were for the adoption of legislations.
However, majority of votes rejected initiatives of the head of state.
