Deputies of the Supreme Council honored the memory of the fallen defenders of the city of Bendery

The program of commemorative events dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the Bendery tragedy continued at the Borisov cemetery in the city of Bendery. The litiya for the killed defenders of the city was served by Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa. The leadership of the republic, the clergy, social activists, widows, mothers and children of fallen heroes, caring residents of the town laid flowers at the monument on which the words are carved: “Bow your head: here lie the warrior heroes who defended their hometown. March-August 1992"

Fresh flowers were placed on the granite slabs on the Alley of Heroes, the main burial place for the city’s defenders. Raisa Tsetsora comes to the Borisov cemetery every year. Her husband, the defender of the city Ivan Semenovich Tsetsora is buried here.

As Raisa Fedorovna says, her husband made the decision to defend the city without hesitation.

June 19 is a day of mourning in the republic. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov addressed the Pridnestrovians on the occasion of the mournful date.

Commemorative events continued at the chapel named after Captain Yechin. Moldovan nationalists early in the morning of April 1, 1992  with the support of armored personnel carriers, shot there a traffic militia patrol car, guardsmen who rushed to their aid, and a bus with a cotton mill worker пщштп to work. As a result of the attack, 6 people were killed. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov took part in the flower-laying ceremony.
