Deputies approved the CEC report

The Supreme Council deputies approved at the plenary session today the report of the Central Election Commission on the conduct of the elections of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic that took place in December 2021.

The PMR Central Election Commission Chairman Elena Gorodetskaya noted that less than 7 million out of the 8 million rubles allocated for these purposes from the republican budget were actually used. Most of the funds were spent on paying compensation to members of election commissions.

The Central Election Commission for the first time applied a new system for accruing compensations for members of election commissions at the last presidential elections. The chairmen, their deputies and secretaries received a little more than the rest. The same compensations by decision of the Central Election Commission were paid to all members of the election commission, which worked on the basis of the Republican Clinical Hospital.

The deputies approved the report on the expenditure of funds for holding presidential elections in the country at the suggestion of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance. The stationery left after the December vote will be used for the voting on the 27th of March. The villagers of Gidirim, Rybnitsa district will elect the Head of the village, two districts in Bendery will vote for their representatives in the city council, five more districts in the Slobodzeya district will also elect deputies of local authorities on this day.

Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy Viktor Guzun expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Elena Gorodetskaya as well as to all members of the election commissions for the excellent organization of the presidential elections and the high professionalism, which was noted by international observers on the voting day.
