Deputies approved the date of the next plenary session

The plenary meeting was decided to be held on Wednesday, March 16 due to the holidays next week. The Presidium of the Supreme Council discussed a number of issues on the agenda in the meantime, some of them have been excluded or withdrawn from consideration for revision.

The next plenary session will be held already this Wednesday, March 2. The deputies in the course of the meeting will discuss amendments to the law "On Education", which will affect those who study in organizations of higher professional education under the residency program at the expense of budgetary funds.

Amendments to the law "On the status of servicemen" were submitted for discussion by deputies in the first reading. The purpose of the law-in-draft is to improve the rules governing the granting of the right to education to conscripted military personnel. The law-in-draft proposes to exclude from this norm an additional ground “after the end of the first academic year”, for granting military personnel the right to continue their education in organizations of higher professional education in correspondence or evening form of education for the period of military service.

Amendments to the law “On the Unified State Register of Immovable Cultural Heritage Objects of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” were submitted to the next plenary session. The list is planned to be supplemented with the item “postern of semi-bastion number 5”, located at the address: the city of Bendery, the Bendery Fortress, Petr Panin Street, 2/2. It is planned within the framework of the same law to clarify the addresses of objects within the historical boundaries of the Bendery fortress.
