Deputies clarified the place of filing a complaint in a case of an administrative offence

09.04.2025

The Supreme Council adopted in two readings at once the law-in-draft concerning the clarification of the place of filing a complaint against a ruling in a case of an administrative offence. The deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeeva, Gregory Dyachenko and Oleg Petrik proposed to make amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences. It is possible today to file a complaint against a ruling on an administrative offence that has not yet entered into force with a higher authority, with a higher official, or with a district (city) court at the place where the case is being heard. After the adopted bill comes into force, it will be possible to file a complaint at the place of residence of the applicant, or at the location of the body that conducted the administrative investigation, at the request of the person who filed the complaint.

The law-in-draft was adopted in two readings at once. Not a single objection was received from subjects of the right of legislative initiative during its consideration.

The law-in-draft has been sent to the PMR President for signature, and it will be published afterwards.
