Gimn Fedorovich Pologov has been the Chairman of the Bendery City Council of People's Deputies since 1989 and actively participated in the political struggle against the Narodny Front of Moldova.

He was the organizer of the 1st Congress of People's Deputies of all levels of Pridnestrovie, which was held in June 1990. Member of the Presidium of the Provisional Supreme Council of the PMR, he headed the Chamber of the Republic in the first convocation of the Supreme Council of the PMR, was the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR. Gimn Pologov was directly involved in the leadership for the defense and defense of the city of Bendery from the military aggression of Moldova in June 1992. He was awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor, medals of the USSR and the PMR.
