New state program for the development of entrepreneurship in Pridnestrovie was discussed by deputies

New state program for the development of entrepreneurship was discussed in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic at offline plenary session today.

Entrepreneurship development is one of the factors to ensure a consistently high level of economic development of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. State program was in place in the republic aimed at supporting and developing entrepreneurship in Pridnestrovie from 2019 to 2022.

It is planned to continue the implementation of existing projects, as well as launch a new project aimed at providing state support to start-up entrepreneurs within the framework of the new state target program "Support and development of entrepreneurship in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2023-2027".

The Business School Functioning project, aimed at teaching start-up entrepreneurs the basics of running their own business, will continue to work in the new state program. The business school was established back in March 2008 as an element of the entrepreneurship support infrastructure in Pridnestrovie. The project was included in 2019 in the state target program at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the PMR. Courses, seminars and trainings are held on the basis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Along with start-up entrepreneurs, 11th grade schoolchildren and managers of business structures take part in them. Teachers from leading educational institutions of the PMR, practitioners in the field of accounting, management, advertising, IT technologies, consultants and heads of consulting companies, as well as representatives of the business community are involved in the work at the business school.

The state program proposes to continue the implementation of the "Buy Pridnestrovian!" project. Fairs and exhibitions are held in all cities and regions of the republic within its framework, at which the products of Pridnestrovian manufacturers are widely represented. "Buy Pridnestrovian!" project was included in the state program in 2019. Its main goal is to support local producers and popularize goods produced in Pridnestrovie.

A permanent focus of the state program will be the My Business project, under which start-up entrepreneurs will be provided with grants and soft loans to create and develop their own business. The implementation of the My Business project was launched in 2021. 24 start-up entrepreneurs with the most promising business projects will be able to use state support annually after the adoption of the state program. Priority will be given to projects in the manufacturing sector and the development of domestic tourism.

It is planned that over 5 years of the state program to support entrepreneurship, about 120 business entities will have the opportunity to open and develop their business.

The deputies unanimously supported the draft state target program in the course of the plenary session in the first reading. Work on it will continue. In particular, the deputies plan to study the report on the implementation of the previous state program, which was in effect from 2019 to 2022.
