Deputies supplemented the law “On social protection of persons with disabilities”

The state will provide at the expense of budgetary funds disabled women of group III with breast prostheses and bodices for their fastening. The initiative of fellow parliamentarians to amend the law “On Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities” was adopted today by the Supreme Council in two readings at once. Such a measure of state support was previously applied only to women with disabilities of groups I and II.

The reason for its development was the appeals of citizens according to the authors of the law-in-draft.

The new measures will come into force on the 1st of January, 2024. If there are medical indications, 270 disabled women of group III will be able to take advantage of the right to receive free breast prostheses. It will be necessary to provide 428 thousand rubles for these purposes when planning the law-in-draft “On the Republican Budget for 2024”.
